We supported Oratos Consult to implement repeatable inspections for complex and inaccessible facility assets, enhancing operational efficiency.

AI Auto-detection

We developed an AI-powered crack detection tool, which successfully expedites condition assessments across large concrete structures.

This year, Trendspek facilitated over 50,000 online site visits — driving significant efficiency gains across industries while delivering unmatched insights into the condition of assets across the globe.

In total, we released 70+ platform upgrades this year, and also launched 7 major ground-up new features to take asset reporting and management to the next level.

• Saved Views: Save and return to specific 3D dataset views for easy navigation.
• Panoramas: Build immersive visualisations of internal asset environments.
• Uploader Tool: Real-time upload tracking, multi-user capabilities, and enhanced project data management.
  
• Advanced Template Fields: Expanded customisation in Template Manager, with new data types like text, numbers, dates, and URLs for richer analytics.
• Image Annotations: Directly annotate on source images and automatically sync measurements onto 3D models.

Case Study: University of Sydney

Featuring more than 100 buildings constructed over the last century, the University of Sydney Camperdown campus is a prominent focal point of Sydney's Inner West.

Head of Strategic Asset Management, Martin Ayres, leads a project team dedicated to preserving these historic structures using Trendspek’s digital solution.

Awards and events

Our commitment to innovation earned us industry recognition this year, including being named the winner of Most Innovative PropTech Scaleup (Asset and Facilities Management) at the 2024 PropTech Awards, selected by a panel of over 40 industry judges.

Our Head of Delivery, Alana Flack, was also named a finalist in two categories: Female Aviation Leader of the Year and Aviation Rising Star at the Australian Aviation Awards.

We also made strides with ARIAM Research Hub, presenting our findings in 3D Reconstruction of Reflective and Textureless Regions which will pave the way for more robust reconstructions for challenging material types.

We also attended key events and initiatives to connect with industry peers, including:

AAUS Networking Event: We co-hosted an event with the Australian Association for Uncrewed Systems at Stone & Chalk Sydney. Introduced by AAUS President Greg Tyrell, the event highlighted Trendspek’s role in supporting drone service providers with tools for precision data capture and reporting.

Turning Reactive into Proactive Maintenance: We hosted a collaborative webinar with Courtland Penk on advanced techniques for the inspection and monitoring of industrial assets, showcasing Trendspek’s capabilities in high-risk environments.

Scaling in the United Arab Emirates: Our CEO Derek Feebrey expanded our presence in the UAE as part of the Taronga Ventures Tech Delegation, Dec 9-11, exploring opportunities for growth in the region and engaging with partners to drive innovation in infrastructure management.

TEFMA: Expanding our network with key Higher Education partners, we presented at TEFMA: Smarter Data Conference in Adelaide, and TEFMA: The Fellowship of Ideas in Auckland. 

ISC Connect: Trendspek CEO Derek Feebrey presented a keynote presentation at ISC Connect on the future of using AI in Infrastructure.

2024 was a milestone year for our team as we scaled our operations, made key hires in Partnerships, Industry Leadership, Development and Customer Success, and celebrated major milestones including our 5 year anniversary.

Setting new standards for data security

Achieving SOC2 Type 1 and 2 attestation was a critical milestone, underscoring Trendspek’s commitment to data security and compliance for its global clientele.

“This certification isn’t just about compliance; it’s about trust and safeguarding our clients’ data,” said Mitch Deam, co-founder of Trendspek.

Our SOC2 Type 1 and Type 2 joins our other compliance and security certifications including ISO 9001, ISO 27001, ISO 27701 and GDPR compliance.
