Aviation
We started in bush planes across outback Australia. The kind of flying where conditions change fast and your records have to be right every time.
Eventually we made it to airliners, flying 747s for Qantas and 737s for Virgin.
In aviation, evidence is how decisions are made. Full stop. There is no 'approximately' or 'we think it's probably fine.' Every system, every check, every anomaly is documented and traceable.
That standard is not optional. It is the job.

Drones
In 2013 we started one of Australia's first drone services companies, well before you could buy a drone at a store. We went straight to asset inspections: bridges, buildings, ports, industrial structures.
High resolution, full coverage. Things traditional inspection access couldn't reach.
But the photos got reviewed, the report still got written the old way, and the imagery quietly ended up on hard drives and SharePoint folders. Disconnected from every decision that came next.
Engineers and owners had better raw data than they'd ever had. The workflow hadn't changed. The record hadn't changed. The decisions were still being made the same way.
Trendspek
We knew there was a better way to connect evidence to decisions across the whole lifecycle. When we looked for a system that did that, nothing existed.
In 2019 we founded Trendspek, working directly with the engineers and asset owners who were running these workflows every day.
We built it with them, not for them. The workflows we designed came from the real problems, not from what looked good in a product demo.

Buildings, plants, ports; critical infrastructure that is the backbone of industries, economies, and daily life.
Yet, the truth about their integrity, safety, and remaining life is buried in outdated reports, missing records, and limited inspections.
Asset owners are forced to rely on poor records and assumptions to answer critical questions: Is it safe? When will it fail? How much will it cost?
But the real cracks start with the way risk is managed. And when things go wrong, the consequences go far beyond financial loss.
It doesn’t have to be this way.
The future of infrastructure is built on a Structural Lifecycle Management System that delivers precision, clarity, and control…continuously, where all stakeholders are aligned, informed, and empowered to act, not on-site, but online.
No more blind spots. No more surprises. No more reactive fixes.
We believe in living, breathing asset intelligence.
A world where every asset is tracked, understood, and optimised year after year. Where risks are predicted, not discovered too late. Where capital isn’t wasted, but deployed with certainty to protect, extend, and strengthen the world’s most critical infrastructure.
This isn’t just about keeping up. It’s about building a world that stays ahead.
The future of infrastructure starts now.

Derek started in bush planes across outback Australia before moving to commercial aviation, flying 747s for Qantas.
In 2013 he co-founded Hoverscape, one of Australia's first drone services companies. That's where the problem Trendspek solves became obvious.
He has been working toward the SLMS category ever since.
At Trendspek he leads the vision and category direction, keeping the focus on one thing: making inspection evidence count when capital decisions get made.

Fiona flew 747s for Qantas before joining Hoverscape as one of its co-founders.
She knows what a high-stakes evidence standard looks like in practice, and she brings that to every customer engagement.
At Trendspek she focuses on ensuring customer outcomes are actually delivered. Not promised in a demo, not written into a success plan. Delivered.

Mitch flew 737s for Virgin before co-founding Hoverscape alongside Derek and Fiona.
He knows what it costs when the evidence trail breaks down.
At Trendspek he leads risk and assurance, and owns compliance, information security, and the policies and processes that sit behind it.
His job is making sure the governance backbone holds under real scrutiny.
The standard he applies is the same one that kept aircraft airworthy.

Closed loops. Clean handovers.
Nothing left hanging.
We test, learn and improve until the workflow holds
in the real world.
Clarity first. Trade-offs explicit.
Time spent where it reduces risk and waste.
We do what we say. We communicate early.
We hold the standard under pressure.

Talk with one of our industry leads.
We’ll be direct about whether SLMS is the right fit for your portfolio and what the starting point looks like.
Trendspek is headquartered in Sydney, Australia, with active client portfolios across 45 countries. Our team works across time zones to support enterprise rollouts wherever your assets are.
Our clients manage critical infrastructure across oil and gas, ports and maritime, universities and campuses, and civil infrastructure. If you are responsible for assets that cannot fail, the workflows are the same.
Most teams have a working pilot on a subset of their portfolio within four to six weeks. We start with your existing assets and current workflows. Nothing needs to be rebuilt from scratch.
Yes. Trendspek is built for owners and their partners to work from the same record. Your existing engineering relationships stay intact. Everyone works from the same evidence.
Yes. We work with engineering and advisory firms, capture and drone operators, contractors, and technology partners. If your clients own critical assets and you want to deliver better outcomes from the same evidence, we should talk. See partnership pathways at trendspek.com/partners.
We are always interested in people who hold a high standard. See current openings at trendspek.com/careers.
