Share controlled portions of your 3D model with Projects

October 20th, 2026

Projects allows you to share a defined part of your 3D model with contractors, teams or external users, without sharing full access to the entire asset or every annotation.

‍

Not everyone needs full access to your asset data:

  • A contractor might only need access to one remediation zone, not the entire facility
  • A planning team might only need visibility of the relevant section for an upcoming work package
  • A tender process might require multiple contractors to review the same area independently
  • A multi-party site may need dedicated workspaces per team, with their own templates and instructions

Projects allows you to share controlled portions of a 3D model with invited users by only giving them access to information relevant to their work.

This provides a layer of control, structure, and makes large assets more manageable, particularly when multiple stakeholders are interacting within the same environment.

‍

For a Project, you can:
  • Define the scope: Crop the 3D model to include only the relevant structure or work zone
  • Choose the information: Select which annotation folders and datasets the user has access to
  • Set expectations: Add project instructions and specify the templates stakeholders can use to record their findings so everything stays consistent, and adheres to standards

Invited users see a Projects tab on their dashboard and have access only to the Project. Everything they create syncs back to the main asset, inside the Project folder, so asset owners can maintain a single source of truth.

A more controlled way to collaborate

Run tenders with confidence

Give multiple bidders access to the same scope in separate Projects, so each can assess and price work independently, without seeing another bidder’s submissions.

Keep input consistent

Provide instructions and approved templates so invited users know what information to submit and structure findings in a way that suits your requirements.

Control who sees what

Give invited users access only to the model area, annotation folders, and datasets relevant to their work, without exposing the rest of the asset

Give stakeholders access only to the information relevant to their work.
